Since July 1, Slovakia has changed the rules for providing free housing for Ukrainians

Now compensation to owners for free accommodation of Ukrainians is paid only for the first 120 days.
An exception was made for vulnerable categories.

The number of homeowners who had the right to receive this compensation for housing Ukrainians also decreased.
In June, more than 10,000 people received help, and in July – only 3,440.

Despite the change, there are more Ukrainians in Slovakia. In June, 2,351 people applied for protection status, and in July this number increased to almost 3,000.
