From September 9, social benefits will be reduced for many Ukrainians in Ireland

The new rules apply to persons under temporary protection who live in housing with full provision. The changes will be for people who have the following status:

Jobseeker’s Allowance
State Pension (Non-contributory)
One-Parent Family Payment
Blind Pension
Carer’s Allowance
Basic Supplementary Welfare Allowance (other than Additional Needs Payments)
Disability Allowance
Widow’s, Widower’s or Surviving Civil Partner’s (Non-contributory) Pension
Widow’s, Widower’s or Surviving Civil Partner’s (Contributory) Pension
Guardian’s Payment
Domiciliary Care Allowance

Instead, a new payment is introduced — Beneficiary of Temporary Protection Weekly Payment:

€38.80 per week for adults
€29.80 per week for children

The amount will depend on income, that is, there will be a check of your income or additional sources of financing.
If residents of the center pay extra for food, this is taken into account in the amount of the payment.
Access to housing, medical and educational services is maintained.
Changes will be notified by letter. The first reduced payment is September 12.
