It has been included in the prestigious TIME Best Inventions 2024 ranking in the “Apps & Software” category.
“Every year, Time selects 200 inventions that change the world. ‘Diia’ made it into Time Best Inventions 2024 in the Apps & Software category. This is great recognition for our product. This award was previously given to OpenAI GPT-4, Zoom, Duolingo, and now our Ukrainian ‘Diia’ is in the ranking,” noted Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on Facebook.
The app received recognition for implementing the unique “Online Marriage” service – the world’s first fully digital marriage process. As reported on TIME magazine’s website, the ranking’s authors described this system as “simple, though not romantic,” emphasizing its importance for Ukrainian couples “who were physically separated due to Russia’s invasion of the country, to continue their lives.”
“Over 1.1 million Ukrainians made marriage proposals in the first month of using the service, and in total, 435 couples have already gotten married (through ‘Diia’ – ed.),” the report states.
